Scolton Manor will be full of mini-beast mayhem with the Wonderful World of Insects over half-term.
From Saturday 25th May to Sunday 2nd June, you’ll be able to challenge yourself to ‘Bugtastic Quizzes’ and get creative in the ‘Mini-Beast Makes’ craft area in the manor house between 11am and 4pm each day.
Both activities are included in the normal admission price of £3.50 for adults, £2.35 for concessions and children over four years or a family ticket for £9.35 (up to two adults and three children)
There’s plenty of fun to have outside too! Follow the ‘Incredible Insects’ trail around the grounds and work out the answers to the brilliant bug facts to win a prize. Or, why not try your hand at completing the ‘Creepy Crawly Challenge’ activity course by the manor house. Both the ‘Incredible Insects’ trail and the ‘Creepy Crawly Challenge’ are available daily between 11am and 4pm. Trail answer sheets are available from the Welcome Centre located near the main car park and cost £1 per child.
If you’d like your garden to become a haven for buzzy bees and beautiful butterflies why not consider coming to the ‘Make-your-own’ seed bomb activity on Thursday 30th May. Between 1 – 4pm get hands-on making some pollinator-friendly seed bombs. Tickets cost £2 per child and are available from the Welcome Centre near the car park. (Spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.)
Or, perhaps you’d like to join a ‘Marvellous Mini-Beasts’ session to see what brilliant bugs you’ll be able to discover in the woods. Sessions start at 11.30am and 1.30pm on Friday 31st May and cost £2 per child. Spaces are limited so booking in advance is advisable.
Join in the fun and explore all that Scolton has to offer this half term!
