The summer season is now upon us and the award-winning National Lido of Wales, Lido Ponty, is opening seven-days-a-week.
With a PRICE FREEZE for adults and activity sessions and FREE SWIM for all children under the age of 16, it is the perfect place to enjoy outdoor swimming, whatever the weather.
Based upon consistently rave reviews of the facility, supplied by visitors, Lido Ponty has been awarded Trip Advisor’s 2019 Certificate of Excellence from the world’s largest travel site!
The Council’s flagship family outdoor water attraction opens for its 2019 summer season seven-days-a-week (7.30am to 7.15pm) from Saturday, May 25, to Sunday, September 1.
It will then remain open at weekends until September 22, as well as open daily for morning sessions only from 7.30am until 9am.
Tickets for swim sessions can be booked up to seven days in advance online, with a limited number of tickets available each day at 9am from the reception of the National Lido of Wales, Lido Ponty, on a first-come, first-served basis.

“The Trip Advisor reviews show that the public love Lido Ponty and are flocking to Rhondda Cynon Taf in their thousands, not only making the most of the Lido’s now iconic facilities, but also taking advantage of everything else Pontypridd and our wider County Borough has to offer visitors.
“We are so proud to be home to the National Lido of Wales, it provides a huge boost to the local economy as visitors make the most of their days out by exploring the area.

Since opening in 2015, more than 266,000 people have visited Lido Ponty, including a record-breaking 91,000 visitors last season alone, which was an increase of over 16,000 visitors on the previous year.
More and more people are heading to the National Lido of Wales, Lido Ponty, as it continues to grow in popularity with families and swimmers of all ages and abilities.
The National Lido of Wales, Lido Ponty, has full disabled access, including entry into the main pool. Admission to the National Lido of Wales, Lido Ponty, remains at £2 per adult for 2019 and FREE for children under the age of 16.
As well as the opportunity for lane swimming and more relaxed swims in the heated pools, and a Splash Pool for the little ones, there are also a host of water activities on offer throughout the season.
For just £2.50, visitors can enjoy everything from fun inflatables to Aqua Scooterz, Aqua Peddlerz and Water Walkerz.
Situated in the picturesque Ynysangharad War Memorial Park, Pontypridd, the National Lido of Wales, Lido Ponty, is Wales’ premier outdoor family water attraction, offering something for all ages.
It is the perfect place for families to enjoy a great day out, for dedicated swimmers, social swimmers and also for children who enjoy aquatic antics in the open-air, whatever the weather, within safe and historic surroundings.
The National Lido of Wales, Lido Ponty, originally opened to the public in 1927 and sadly fell into a state of disrepair before closing.
The £6.3m Grade II listed outdoor family water attraction was officially re-opened on July 6, 2016, by His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales and Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall.
