These new roles will help deliver the council’s ambitious new transformation strategy: ‘#TeamCaerphilly – Better Together’.
Victoria Camp has joined the council as Transformation Manager for Commercial Investment. This role will see her help the council become more entrepreneurial in its approach, by actively seeking commercial opportunities to generate income that can be reinvested back into services.
With a wealth of experience in transformation, Victoria’s previous roles include Commercial Manager at Monmouthshire County Council and positions in the corporate banking sector.
Appointed to the role of Transformation Manager for Innovation is James Penfold. James joins #TeamCaerphilly from Hafod, a housing and social care provider, where he held the position of Research and Business Intelligence Manager. James is an experienced service improvement project manager with a career in social housing, across both local authority and housing association sectors, specialising in customer engagement and performance data analysis.
In his role as Transformation Manager James will review the way that the council currently delivers services; finding new, innovative approaches to increase efficiency and improve services for residents.
Cllr Barbara Jones, the council’s interim Leader, said “The council faces a number of challenges which demand us to review and adapt the way in which we work to ensure we continue delivering high quality services and meet the needs of our residents. I’d like to warmly welcome James and Victoria to #TeamCaerphilly; their roles will be key in helping to steer our journey of transformation.”
