Rhymney Officers Urge Residents To Keep Their Homes Secure

Monday 24th Feb 2020

Officers are urging residents in Rhymney to ensure that their properties are kept secure at all times after a report of burglary and two reports of attempted burglary in the area.

All incidents took place on 2nd February 2020.  Two addresses were targeted on Phillip's Walk and one on Golwyg y Mynydd.  Access was only gained to one address, on Phillip's Walk, where cash was stolen.

Please be extra vigilant to ensure that your windows and doors are kept locked and secure.

Residents are also reminded to check the identification of anyone calling at their home who they don't know.  This follows a report of a man claiming to be from the Council gaining access to a property on Havard Row on 6th February.  Fortunately, he left a short time after without incident.

If you have any information relating to these incidents or would like to report any suspicious activity in the area, please call 101.  In an emergency always call 999.
