**Please note, this scheme in Church Village has been postponed on safety grounds, due to the forecast for inclement weather including high winds (UPDATED: 13/02/20)

The Council will carry out maintenance work during the School Half Term week, requiring road closures affecting the A473 Church Village Bypass – scheduled overnight to minimise disruption.

The scheme will take place across four work shifts (each running from 7pm to 6am) and utilising two road closures. These closures are outlined below:

Closure 1 (one night shift) from 7pm to 6am on Monday, February 17. It includes the closure of an 80m section of Llantrisant Road, directly north of A473 Beddau Roundabout. The junction leading motorists towards Brynteg Green will remain open from the direction of the Beddau Halt junction.

An alternative route for motorists is via route A473, Crown Hill and Llantrisant Road, or this route in reverse order. Access will not be maintained for emergency service vehicles or pedestrians.

Please note a section of the community route, located to the north of Beddau Roundabout, will close in a north-easterly direction during Closure 1 only.

Closure 2 (three night shifts) from 7pm to 6am on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (February 18, 19 and 20) ending at 6am on Friday, February 21. It includes a closure of A473 Church Village Bypass, between the Beddau and Llantwit Fardre roundabouts.

An alternative route for motorists is via Crown Hill and Llantrisant Road, or this route in reverse order. Access will not be maintained for emergency service vehicles or pedestrians.

The Council would like to thank local residents and road users for their cooperation while this maintenance scheme is carried out.
