Denbighshire Village to Expand with 22 New Homes at Former Training Centre

A Denbighshire village could soon be expanded with 22 new homes at a former training centre – with developers reassuring residents disturbances will be kept to a minimum.
Wales and West Housing and Rannoch Developments Ltd have applied to Denbighshire County Council, seeking planning permission to build 22 homes at land south east of Cil y Coed, Henllan.
The plans at the 0.81-hectare section of land include parking and a new public road as well as access.
The land was formerly used as the Henllan Training Centre and more recently for agriculture.
The new homes will feature slate roofs and ‘Cedral Cladding’ walls with rendering.
According to the application, neighbours have been consulted, and a planning statement said residents living nearby shouldn’t be disturbed during construction.
“To reduce any noise nuisance generated from the use of generators on site, Beech Developments will use generators with noise attenuation during the hours of work,” the report read.
The statement also claimed generators will be phased out once a power supply is available.
The planning statement added, “No burning will take place on site, and all waste will be disposed of appropriately off site. All security lighting will be positioned sympathetically to prevent any light nuisance to local residents.”
The statement also added security lighting will be fitted with anti-glare devices but will only be triggered if someone enters the building area.
