Opening the Chest – grants available for Gwynedd community and voluntary
groups
Gwynedd voluntary and community groups are being urged to consider applying for revenue and capital grants that will support various projects that would improve the quality of life of the county’s residents and communities.
The Cist Gwynedd Voluntary Development Fund grant offers financial assistance of up to £10,000 to voluntary and community groups and charities in the county.
In addition, the Welsh Church Act Fund offers grants of up to £3,000 to registered charities and small grants of £300 for local Eisteddfodau in Gwynedd.

From April 2017 Cist Gwynedd will also be taking responsibility for administering the Sportlot Community Chest Fund in Gwynedd. This fund offers grants of up to £1,500 to sports, community or fitness and well-being groups, for projects that increase participation and create new opportunities in sport and physical activities. The next closing dates for submitting applications for the Voluntary Development Fund and Welsh Church Act Fund are 30 March and 30 June 2017.
The closing dates for the Sport Wales Community Chest Fund are: 5 April, 14 June, 6 September, 5 November 2017 and 11 January 2018.
