Family Tribute Following Loggerheads RTC

Tribute from the family of Gerald George Jacob who died following a road traffic collision at Loggerheads, near Mold on Sunday 5th March. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“Gerry, as we all knew him, loved life and lived it to the full. He was to all those who were close to him a very special, popular, fun loving and outgoing gentleman.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

66-year-old Gerry, from Llanferres outside Mold, had recently retired in December 2016 and had plans to continue his life travelling with his partner Maria. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

He is survived by his son Peter, daughter Sarah and two sisters Karen and Moira to whom he was very close. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the collision, which is believed to have happened at approximately 7:30pm on Saturday 4th March. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Officers were called shortly before midday on Sunday, March 5th, when police received a report that a grey BMW car had been found in a hedge on Ruthin Road in Loggerheads. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
