WW1 Pocket Watch Stolen In Michaelstone-Y-Fedw, Newport
We are appealing for information following a burglary at an address in Michaelstone-y-fedw, Newport.
The offence occurred between 2.15pm and 5.40pm on 4th October 2016.
The offender/offenders forced entry into the property and took jewellery along with a pocket watch.
The pocket watch is of sentimental value and has an inscription similar to “To R.O. Phillips…given on 21st birthday….”.
The watch was given to a despatch rider in France during WW1.
The face has ‘Liverpool’ (place of manufacture) on it and the hands are blue.
