New Councillor For Blaengwrach

Blaengwrach has elected a new county borough councillor to sit on Neath Port Talbot Council ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Following the by-election held on Thursday 20th October, Carolyn Edwards, Plaid Cymru – The Party of Wales, will take up her seat on the Council next week, when she is officially sworn in by the Chief Executive, Steven Phillips. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The turnout in the by-election was 32.6% ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The seat was previously held by Cllr. Alf Siddley who sadly passed away in August. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
