Achievements Of Learners Celebrated
Learning Pembrokeshire, Pembrokeshire County Council’s adult learning provider, recently held its annual awards ceremony at County Hall.
The evening recognises the achievements of the many adult learners in the county.
It was hosted by the Chairman, Cllr Tony Brinsden and attended by Cllr Sue Perkins, Cabinet Member for Children’s Services and Lifelong Safeguarding.
Cllr Brinsden presented certificates to learners who passed examinations in subjects including essential skills, computing, literacy, numeracy, English for Speakers of other Languages (ESOL) and Welsh language.
He congratulated the learners on their achievements, often gained alongside work and family life commitments.
The evening also included a collection of locally-made films, websites developed by learners on ICT courses and a display showing the impact learning had made on people’s lives.
Learning Pembrokeshire is one of the largest deliverers of adult learning in Wales with over 5,500 enrolments in a year.
Courses recommence in September.
Watch out for the A-Z leaflets which will be delivered during the first week of September.
