Consultation On Pembroke Conservation Area
Pembrokeshire County Council wants to hear your views on Pembroke Conservation Area.
The Council is holding a drop-in consultation event to hear the views of local residents and businesses, before writing a Conservation Area Character Appraisal and Management Plan.
Cath Ranson, Development Planning and Conservation Manager, said “I hope many residents and businesses who are interested in the preservation of the historic fabric of Pembroke Conservation Area will take part in the consultation.
“We are taking a new approach in Pembroke, and for the first time are asking the community what they think before any documents are written.
“People will be able to come to the sessions and point out what they think is important and whether the Conservation Area should change.”
The drop in sessions will be held at Pembroke Town Hall, Main Street, Pembroke on the 28th September between 12pm and 7pm, and on the 29th September between 9am and 12pm. Officers will be available to discuss the Conservation Area.
The consultation opens on 10th September and the deadline for all comments is 24th October 2016.
There is also the opportunity to take part in a workshop, (booking essential) on ‘Changing the Conservation Area Boundary’, and ‘Should we Change Permitted Development Rights?’ (Article 4 Direction).
