Howzat! Girls Are Runners-Up In Cricket Finals

Cleddau Reach VC School’s girls’ cricket team has been congratulated for coming runners-up in the South Wales Finals. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The girls won five matches before losing by 22 runs to Ysgol Griffiths Jones in the final. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“As Pembrokeshire champions they represented their county and school with skill and outstanding sportsmanship,” said headteacher Mr Nick Groves. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The other games were played against Ysgol Melin Gruffydd, Llanfaes Primary School, Radyr Primary School, Llanwit Fardre Primary School, and St Mary’s Primary School. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
