New Mobile Library Enters Service
A new and improved mobile library has hit the road in Pembrokeshire.
The new vehicle, which is bigger than its predecessor has space for a broader selection of materials including fiction, non-fiction, large print, audio books, and a small number of books for children.
Items can be borrowed for four weeks and customers also have the option of renewing them online or by phone.
The village service is open to anyone with a membership card from the library service.
The state of the art library provides lift access for users with mobility problems and two computer tablets for public use.
Cabinet member for Culture, Sport and Leisure, Councillor Elwyn Morse says the vehicle shows a commitment to improving the Library service within Pembrokeshire.
“Pembrokeshire County Council aims to provide the best possible library service to the people of the Pembrokeshire and this vehicle proves that.
“It opens up a range of resources to people who live in more isolated areas of the County and enables them to benefit from the comprehensive service we provide.”
