Ceredigion County Council Youth Service is celebrating Youth Work Week between the 23 – 30 June 2016, by organising pop up stalls in secondary schools, communities and youth clubs across the County.
To celebrate Youth Work Week, Youth Service staff will also exhibit at The Red Dragon Centre in Cardiff Bay to showcase the work of young people in Ceredigion, along with all other local authorities across Wales.
Councillor Hag Harris, Cabinet Member with responsibility for Learning Services, Children and Young People’s Partnership said: “Youth Work Week gives Youth Services across Wales the opportunity to celebrate youth work. Here in Ceredigion we are eager to support the importance and the value of youth work within the County”.
He adds: “Ceredigion Youth Service supports young people aged 11-25 in a variety of informal and non-formal settings, through targeted and universal provisions. Youth Work enables young people to develop holistically, working with them to facilitate their personal, social and educational development, enabling them to develop their voice, influence and place in society and to reach their full potential”.
Youth Work Week 2016 is taking place between June 23 and June 30 with many events taking place across the country.
