A new and exciting community Green Fund has been launched this March to help local communities deal with their waste locally and sustainably and improve local green spaces.
The maximum amount that is available to communities is £500, and the fund is available for communities in Ceredigion interested in creating better neighbourhoods, learning new skills and living and working in a greener way. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Councillor Alun Williams, Cabinet Member for Transport, Waste and Carbon Management said: “The Council is looking for new and innovative ideas from our communities in Ceredigion. Your community might be looking to start a community composting scheme, or perhaps wants to start collecting materials for recycling that the Council doesn’t currently provide a service for. Perhaps you just want to improve the quality of your local environment using recycled or re-used materials.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The fund is managed by Ceredigion County Council as part of the Caru Ceredigion campaign, with the hope that local communities will take responsibility to act more sustainably, and create positive activities of benefit to them and the environment. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

If your community would be interested in taking part, please email technical.services@ceredigion.gov.uk or call 01545 572572 for an application form. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
