Plans by “one of the busiest horsebox fabricators in Wales and the UK” for a new building near Llanybydder, have been again recommended for refusal.
Back in 2021, Peter Jones, of Morgan Jones Horse Boxes, applied for permission to build the horsebox fabrication building, and associated works, on land some one-and-a-half miles from the village.
Agent Morgan & Flynn Architectural Services in a supporting statement to the application, said the business was “one of the busiest horsebox fabricators in Wales and the UK,” increased demand needing a new purpose-built facility.
The application was previously heard by members of Ceredigion County Council’s planning committee back in March, and was deferred to the September meeting, recommended for refusal, after being referred to both the Site Inspection Panel (SIP) and the Cooling Off Group for further consideration, before a final decision was taken on the application.
Members at the September meeting – who had agreed to a further deferment – heard a request for the scheme to be ‘called in’ for the Welsh Government to decide it had since been made by persons unknown.
The application will now be heard by the county council’s development management committee, meeting on October 11. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
