Neighbourhood Management Toolkit Available
A toolkit has been produced by the county council to help tackle quality of life issues in Powys communities, it has been announced.
The toolkit is part of Powys County Council’s Neighbourhood Management initiative, a multi-agency way of working with communities.
The Neighbourhood Management toolkit will help facilitate a problem-solving approach to the issue identified and ensure the appropriate agencies are engaged to achieve a resolution.
Cllr Avril York, Cabinet Member responsible for Stronger Communities, said: “In strong communities people are in touch, talk to and help each other out. They are more likely to feel that they belong and have a sense of pride about where they live. With reduced public sector funding, it is important we work together to develop resilient sustainable communities both in rural and urban areas.
“Neighbourhood Management can be a valuable tool to enable communities and local services to improve outcomes by joining up local services and making them more responsive to local needs.”
