Polls Open Across The County
On Thursday 5 May, elections for the National Assembly for Wales and for Police and Crime Commissioner take place.
Polling stations across Powys will be open from 7am to 10pm.
When you vote in a National Assembly for Wales election, you have two votes:
1) Elect your constituency member
2) Elect you regional member
In Powys, you will either be voting for a Brecon and Radnorshire or Montgomeryshire constituency member and for regional members for the Mid and West Wales Region.
You will also be asked to vote for a Police and Crime Commissioner for Dyfed Powys Police area.
Police and Crime Commissioners replaced local police authorities in 2012. They do not run the police, but are responsible for holding the police to account for the public.
