Tenants invited to coffee morning to talk together
Council housing tenants living in Welshpool and the surrounding area have the opportunity next month (March) to speak to housing officers at a coffee morning organised by Powys County Council.
The council’s Housing Service has arranged a coffee morning and housing surgery in the Committee Room at Neuadd Maldwyn, Welshpool on Thursday 3 March at from 10am-12pm.
Council tenants will be able to talk about issues that interest them and officers will be on hand to answer any questions and take issues forward.
The coffee morning will be the first event for the council’s Housing Service and will be repeated throughout the county.
Cllr Darren Mayor, Cabinet Member for Housing Services, said: “We hope that our informal and welcoming coffee mornings will encourage residents to attend and tell us what they think. Those who attend will have direct access to housing staff and the opportunity to express any issues of concern or ideas about services could be improved.
“By encouraging tenants to talk together, it can help them to identify common housing issues which will help the council to provide a more efficient and effective housing service.
“I would encourage all council housing tenants, especially all those living in the Welshpool area, to attend to voice their opinions, ideas or concerns. Providing this forum to tenants is key to improving services.”
