Win Pair Of VIP Tickets For Tour Of Britain Stage Finish
Residents and cycling enthusiasts in Powys could find themselves right in touching distance of Tour of Britain riders as they sprint towards the finish line if they enter a fantastic competition.
Powys County Council and the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society (RWAS) have teamed up to offer a pair of VIP tickets at the Stage Four finish of this year’s Tour of Britain, which will be hosted at the Royal Welsh Showground in Llanelwedd.
Not only will the winners of this fantastic prize find themselves right on the finish line, the VIP tickets will give them access to the following:
• Champagne Reception
• Complimentary buffet provided by Tour Caterers
• Open bar serving Adnams wines and beers, along with a selection of soft drinks
• Sheltered hospitality unit with unreserved seating
• Close to the podium for post-race presentations
• Live TV stream located inside
• Programme free of charge
Stage Four takes place on Wednesday 7 September when the all-Wales leg starts in Denbigh. The 217 kilometer stage, the longest stage of this year’s race, will come into Powys and will go through enter Powys and go through Llangynog, Llanfihangel, Llwydiarth, Foel, Cemmaes, Llanbrynmair, Staylittle, Llanidloes, Rhayader, Newbridge-on-Wye then into the showground.
Cllr Avril York, Powys County Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration, and Steve Hughson, Chief Executive of the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society (RWAS), said: “We’re excited that the county and the Royal Welsh Showground will be hosting this stage finish. It is the first time a finish has been hosted in Powys and we are looking forward to welcoming the Tour of Britain in just a few weeks.
“It will be an unforgettable day and the lucky winners of this fantastic competition will be at the heart of the action when the riders sprint towards the finish line.”
