Communities and Children Secretary Carl Sargeant has paid a visit to the Un Sir Gar Hub in Llanelli to see how the information centre is helping local people into work. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Run by a partnership of local organisations, including the Carmarthenshire Communities First Cluster, the Hub offers a one stop shop for participants to access support and information about employment, volunteering, apprenticeships or training online, by phone or face to face. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Experienced advisers, who have extensive knowledge of all the opportunities and services available, will help to identify a personal path for each client according to their skills, experience and needs and ongoing support is also provided. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Carl Sargeant said: ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

“I have been very impressed with everything I have seen here today. The Hub is clearly leading the way in terms of successful joint working. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

“It is very pleasing to see so many different organisations working together to help local people into work or training which in turn will help the local economy.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
