Strong Turnout At Energy Island’s Strategic Forum
Anglesey’s latest Energy Island Strategic Forum meeting welcomed a high number of developers.
Held recently at Anglesey’s Business Centre, in Llangefni, the event saw representatives from many of leading Energy Island-related developers providing project updates.
Anglesey County Council’s Head of Economic Development and Community Regeneration, Dylan Williams, said, “This Forum gives Energy Island developers a chance to let us know how they are progressing, and it’s clear that the developers’ aspirations are steadily being realised. This is giving the Energy Island Programme momentum and bringing its vision of creating jobs and economic growth closer to reality.”
“We’re already seeing progress on the island with job creation happening at Minesto and Horizon as their plans continue to progress, providing a good counterbalance to the recent end of generation at Wylfa Power Station.
“I’m also glad to see a strong relationship developing between developers and Grŵp Llandrillo Menai. There are some great apprenticeships and graduate training opportunities currently on offer, and it is positive to see green shoots appearing.”
