Ruby Wax Takes A Look At Mental Health Day Art Project

University Mental Health Day 2016 took place on campuses across the UK on Thursday 3rd of March. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Here at Bangor University, as part of the Student Mental Health Strategy, students and staff across the University teamed up to provide a number of activities on the day that welcomed everybody. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Ruby Wax, renowned for her campaigns to raise awareness about mental health and mindfulness visited the interactive art project for students- ‘This is my Universe’ in Pontio. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

‘We were thrilled that so many students got involved in the events on the day, which also included an all-day mental health drop-in and advice session, live music provided by staff and students from the School of Music, mindfulness, and the launch of a UK-wide research questionnaire looking at student mental health.’ ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
