Armed Forces Day Celebrations – A Date For Your Diary
Denbighshire County Council is delighted to confirm dates for the annual Armed Forces Day celebrations taking place in June.
The Council is the lead authority for this year’s regional event, working in partnership with the armed forces to arrange a day full of family friendly activities and displays to promote and acknowledge the work of all the armed forces.
The event takes place on Saturday, June 18th at Bodelwyddan Castle.
Councillor Hugh Irving, the Council’s Armed Forces Champion, said: “We are delighted to be co-ordinating arrangements for this year’s event.
“The Armed Forces Day celebration has firmly established itself as an important occasion in the annual events calendar in North Wales, with different councils taking the lead each year.
“Denbighshire is honoured to play an important role in this year’s event and is working closely with the armed forces to put in place arrangements for the day.
“We are also delighted to have secured Bodelwyddan Castle as a venue for the event, due to its close proximity to the A55 and the fact that it is accessible for residents from across North Wales, as well as visitors”.
