End Of The Line For Thomas The Tank At Rhuddlan One Stop Shop And Library

Plans are underway for the renovation of Rhuddlan One Stop Shop and Library, but it’s the end of the line for one of the building’s most popular inhabitants. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

A model of Thomas the Tank has entertained children who visited the library for many years, but before Thomas runs out of steam, Denbighshire County Council has decided to find a new ‘platform’ for him. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The Council is appealing for community groups or families in Rhuddlan and surrounding areas that would like to offer Thomas a new home. Thomas remains in very good condition, but with a little care and attention and some loving restoration, he can be put back on track and continue to provide hours of fun for little ones in his new home. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Anyone interested in providing Thomas a new home should let the Council know by e-mailing ffion.angharad@denbighshire.gov.uk by Monday 20th June. Thomas’ new owner will be randomly selected from all the names received. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The Council is set to renovate the One Stop Shop and Library building, to allow more services to be delivered from one location and to create a community ‘hub’ where local events and meetings can be hosted. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
