Former North Wales Hospital – Denbigh
Denbighshire County Council are warning members of the public that they are trespassing if they attempt to access the former Denbigh hospital site, which is currently still in private ownership, and are urging patience from the public to allow a lengthy legal and planning process to take place following a court decision last month.
The recent court decision which was reported in the media, means that the Council are now one step closer to helping to protect and preserve the beautiful Grade 2* listed building, but the Council do not own it yet.
The complete restoration journey is likely to take a number of years as there are still many legal and planning stages to take place before any work can start on the main hospital building, and in the meantime it remains in a serious state of disrepair.
As with many old buildings, many parts of the former hospital are very fragile and unsafe and so the Council are asking people not to visit the site or go near the hospital.
