A new cafe and education centre could get the go-ahead at a caravan park in Denbighshire. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Mr and Mrs R. Jones have submitted the plans to Denbighshire County Council’s planning department, seeking permission to convert a commercial outbuilding at the Pen Y Bryn caravan park, Llanfihangel Glyn Myfyr. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The couple wants to remove a container shower block from the 250-square-metre site and covert the outbuilding at the caravan park on the B5105 near Corwen. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The outbuilding is currently used as a storage unit for commercial items, but if the planning application gets the go-ahead, the building will be transformed into a new cafe and education centre. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The conversion will also see new showers and toilets built as part of the plans, together with associated parking. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Although the cafe won’t create any new jobs, it’s proposed that the new building will feature composite cladding slate in blue and grey and grey UPVC doors and windows. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The plans will likely be debated by councillors at a future Denbighshire County Council planning committee meeting at the council HQ in Ruthin.
Residents wishing to write either in favour or against the plans have until July 26 2023 to contact the council. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
