Looking for Work? Need advice about skills and training?
Come along to Flintshire Jobs, Skills and Training Event in Connah’s Quay to improve your chance of employment.
Communities First Flintshire, Jobcentre Plus and Careers Wales are bringing together local employers, service providers and job seekers at the Civic Hall in Connah’s Quay from 10am to 3pm on Thursday 14 April 2016.
Cllr Derek Butler, Cabinet Member for Economic Development, said:
“In 2015 this event attracted 800 attendees. It has been developed to support employment in Flintshire and bring job opportunities to local people giving employers the opportunity to meet candidates face to face.
“Last year over 30 employers and organisations attended and 157 individuals were successful in securing employment.”
Currently more than twenty local employers including Ralawise, Two Sisters, Delsol and Gap Personnel have confirmed attendance. Employers from the care sector including Premier Homecare and CareTech will be on hand to provide information on current opportunities.
There will also be practical advice on hand to help you find a job. This includes a CV checkpoint area and help to write application forms from Careers Wales. Further and higher education representatives are also available to discuss local training and course options.
Representatives from the Communities First Enterprise Club can advise you on entrepreneurial opportunities in Flintshire and support if you want to start your own business.
Communities for Work and LIFT – the Welsh Government scheme whose aim is to provide training and employment opportunities across Wales – can advise your eligibility for additional support.
