Hope Library Community Asset Transfer

This article is old - Published: Friday, Apr 29th, 2016

Changes are to be made to the provision of library services in Hope in May. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The service is making these changes in line with The Medium Term Plan for Libraries which was agreed by the Cabinet in March 2015. These seek to ensure a sustainable and affordable network in the face of 30% budget cuts over a 3 year period resulting from cuts in funding stemming from the central government’s austerity programme. Officers have been working with communities to ensure these changes are managed as smoothly as possible. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
