Investigating Measures To Improve The Safety Of Road Users
Flintshire County Council is investigating measures to improve the safety of road users in the areas around schools, particularly where those safety concerns are created by parked vehicles. The measures come as part of the authority’s commitment to improve the safety of Flintshire’s most vulnerable road users. The Council is intending to submit a bid to Welsh Government for funding to support pilot road safety measures outside a number of schools in the County during the next financial year.
Flintshire County Council’s Deputy Leader, Councillor Bernie Attridge said:
“Road Safety outside schools is one of our key priorities and these proposals will help ensure the safety of school children in the county and I look forward to a successful outcome to the bid.”
