Capital Grant Funding Available For Gwynedd Community And Voluntary Groups
Cist Gwynedd, a fund that offers financial assistance to voluntary and community groups in the county will re-open got applications for up to £10,000 from next month.
Cist Gwynedd administers the Voluntary Development Fund which offers capital and revenue grants of up to £10,000, to support volunteers to improve the quality of life of residents and communities in Gwynedd. Also, The Welsh Church Act Fund offers grants of up to £3,000 to registered charities and local Eisteddfodau in the county.
Councillor Mandy Williams-Davies, the Cabinet Member who leads on the Economy field in Gwynedd Council: “Cist Gwynedd grants support a variety of projects led by local volunteers. This is an opportunity for our residents to make a real difference in their communities.”
The majority of the funding has been distributed for the 2016/17 financial year but money is still available in the Voluntary Development Fund to develop capital projects.
