Fine For Failing To Comply With Order To Safeguard Bethesda Property
A man from Bethesda has been ordered to pay more than £2,000 in fines and costs after he failed to comply with Gwynedd Council’s order to carry out work to repair his flat roof. He had been served a notice instructing him to carry out repairs to his flat roof, which he failed to do.
In a hearing at Caernarfon Magistrates Court on 7 September, Michael Beeby of Erw Lâs, Bethesda was found guilty of failing to carry out work to his property to prevent dampness to his neighbouring property.
After the hearing Carys Fôn Williams, Gwynedd Council Private Sector Housing Manager said: “We are pleased that the magistrates have sent a clear message that allowing a property to affect nearby dwellings is totally unacceptable.”
Magistrates found Mr Beeby guilty and he was ordered to pay £250 in costs, a £170 victim surcharge and a £2,000 fine.
