Guided Tours By Artist Jeremy Yates Of Bangor University Art Collection

Local artist Jeremy Yates will be leading guided tours around Bangor University’s art collection on Saturday, 30 July. The theme of the tours is ‘the art of giving’ and he will be concentrating on parts of the collection giving his own perspective on the works of art. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The guided tours are part of a joint venture with Gwynedd Council to increase access to Bangor University’s hidden museum collections as part of the “Engaging Collections: Widening Access to Gwynedd’s Heritage” project that is partly funded through the Heritage Lottery Fund. This will offer local residents and visitors a chance to enjoy and learn about the vast variety of objects on display. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The guided tours will start from the foyer of the Main Arts Building, College Road, Bangor. English tours will be held 11am-12pm and Welsh tours 12.30pm-1.30pm. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

If you are interested in attending then booking is necessary as there is a maximum of 15 spaces per tour. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
