here is an opportunity for parents of children who will be attending the All Through School in the Gader catchment area when it opens in September 2017 to meet with the new headtheacher during a series of sessions in late May. Jano Owen has started her new role as headteacher of the new 3-16 All-through Gader Catchment-area School at Easter and is busy driving forward the planning development process for the new school. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Parents who would like an opportunity to understand more about Jano Owen’s vision for the new school can come to meet her for a chat in one of three sessions that have been organised locally. The sessions will run from 6:30pm to 7:30pm at these locations: ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Jano Owen explained: “I’m looking forward to speaking with the parents of children that will attend the new school and to share the vision for educating their children. This will be an opportunity for me to get to know them and strengthen direct contact with them. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

“The forthcoming changes in the Dolgellau area offers an opportunity to innovate and create exciting learning experiences that will provide a secure education for the children. I hope that these sessions are an opportunity for parents to recognise some of the new opportunities that are awaiting their children.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Councilor Gareth Thomas, Gwynedd Council’s Cabinet Member for Education noted: “I am delighted that Mrs. Jano Owen has been appointed as Headteacher to lead the new All Through School in the Gader Catchment. Jano is an experienced Headteacher and it’s encouraging to see that she has already begun to develop the necessary plans to establish the new school. I would urge any parent to go along to one of the sessions that have been organised locally.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

It is anticipated that, by offering more than one date, more parents will be able to attend during the week and it is open to parents and children of primary school age or secondary to attend the most convenient session for them. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
