Wrexham Council employees, Karen Murdoch, Kenneth Richards, Peter Edwards and Sion Wynne (pictured here with itec Trainer, Sarah Jones, on the right) completed a 9 month Leadership course organised by itec, the Council’s main training provider. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The course is a level 3 qualification designed to help individuals prepare for a career in management by developing their leadership skills and business knowledge. The work involved attending workshops at the itec centre, as well as completing assignments. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Kenneth Richards, Business Support Team Leader for Wrexham Council’s Housing Service, said, “This has been a great experience for me. I recently successfully applied for a management position where the qualification was essential so the course has already helped me further my career. I could also go onto a level 4 qualification if I choose to in future. The staff at itec were brilliant and I’d like to thank them for being supportive and helpful throughout the course.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Lead Member for Children’s Services & Education, Cllr Michael Williams commented, “itec offer a range of courses which can benefit learners at all stages of their career. They have won many accolades over the 30 years they’ve been operating and I’m delighted to see learners are continuing to benefit from the excellent service they provide. I wish all the newly qualified learners every success in their careers.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
