Bridgend Business Forum, supported by Bridgend County Borough Council, is celebrating the news that it has reached another major milestone of 700 members. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The 700th member is The Wallich, on Park Street, Bridgend; a charity which provides support to homeless people in the form of shelter, advice, mediation services and bonds to gain access to private rented accommodation. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The Wallich has over 60 projects across 16 local authorities and works with over 4,000 people every year. Since setting-up its Bridgend branch last year, the charity has supported 1,377 vulnerable people in the county borough. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Chairman of Bridgend Business Forum, Ian Jessopp said: “We are delighted to welcome The Wallich as our 700th member. It’s an excellent organisation, which makes a considerable difference to people’s lives, providing help and support to people at a time when they need it the most. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

“We are proud to welcome them to the Bridgend Business Forum and we hope that by joining us they will become well-established within the Bridgend business community. There are plenty of opportunities to network with other businesses in the area and also to enter our business awards which offers an excellent platform to showcase your organisation. The deadline for entries is the 8 July.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Zoë Westerman of The Wallich said “It’s fantastic news to hear that The Wallich is the 700th member of the Bridgend Business Forum. We are really hopeful that this membership will raise the profile of our charity in the area and highlight our services and what they bring to the community. Businesses and charities can achieve so much more by working together.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Council Leader, Councillor Mel Nott OBE said: “I’m very pleased to see Bridgend Business Forum still thriving eight years on. It is important that the council maintains this strong and successful link between the public and private sector in Bridgend County Borough and the business forum offers an ideal way to achieve this. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

“I’d like to congratulate The Wallich on becoming the 700th member, and wish them every success for their branch in Bridgend County Borough.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
