The Forté Project is back for 2017, with the aim of uncovering and supporting emerging music talent from South Wales. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The project is looking for ten emerging artists from areas within Caerphilly, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Merthyr Tydfil, Bridgend and the Vale of Glamorgan, collectively known as Arts Connect. The ten chosen artists will work alongside assigned industry mentors who will support them on their journeys at a critical point in their musical career. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The project is centred around key creative and career development areas which will further improve the chances of achieving successful and long-term professional careers. The artists will gain experience from song-writing workshops, industry seminars, sign-posted opportunities, rehearsal space, recording sessions, bespoke audience development support and a range of unique live opportunities throughout the year. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

To be eligible for the Forté Project, artists must be age 16-25, the majority of the members must also reside in one of the Arts Connect regions (Merthyr Tydfil, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Caerphilly, Vale of Glamorgan and Bridgend) and have a real passion and enthusiasm to further their music potential. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
