Caerphilly Country Park Summer Shows

Caerphilly Country Parks kick start the summer season with two entertaining outdoor performances for you to enjoy. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The first performance comes from the Circo Rumbaba Theatre Company, so roll up, roll up to Parc Penallta on Saturday 2nd July to watch them perform their weird and wonderful mixture of circus skills and slapstick comedy in a small caravan called L’Hotel. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The show is sure to be full of laughter for all ages. Adult tickets are £5 and children and OAPs are £3. The show starts at 2pm and finishes at 3pm. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The performance will be held outdoors, with audience participation at the forefront of the play, along with a presentation from GreenHill school pupils. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Please bring your own chair/rug/food and drink. It is advised you bring an umbrella and waterproofs in case the weather is inclement. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Taking Flight Theatre Company takes to the stage, returning for the third consecutive year to Parc Cwm Darran with the well -known Shakespearian play, Romeo and Juliet. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The production will be held on Saturday 9th July, 3pm-5.30pm and is fully supported by BSL/SSE and includes a strong element of audio description. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The performance will entail some walking due to it being promenade style, so please bring a mobile chair if standing for a long period of time is not suitable for you. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The beginning of the show will start with a short presentation from Fochriw School pupils who have been involved with the publicity of the production. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The show is suitable for children aged 7 and upwards. Adult tickets are £5 and £3 for children and OAPs. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Audiences are welcome to bring their own food and drink to the performance or you can contact us for food availability from the café. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
