Caerphilly Leisure Centres Deliver Vital Skills During Drowning Prevention Week

To mark Drowning Prevention Week (18th – 26th June), Caerphilly Sport and Leisure Services will be holding a number of water safety and lifesaving sessions in leisure centres across the borough. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The water safety and lifesaving sessions taking place in pools across Caerphilly county borough will provide an exciting, fun and interactive way of educating children on how to stay as safe as possible around water. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The sessions will be held at: – ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

  • Caerphilly Leisure Centre on Saturday 18th June from 3pm until 4pm
  • Cefn Fforest Leisure Centre on Monday 20th June from 4pm until 5pm
  • Risca Leisure Centre on Wednesday 22nd June from 6pm until 7pm
  • Bedwas Leisure Centre on Wednesday 22nd June from 5pm until 6pm
  • Heolddu Leisure Centre on Saturday 25th June from 12pm until 1pm
  • Newbridge Leisure Centre on Sunday 26th June from 11am until 12pm

The sessions are suitable for children up to 14 years of age who can swim more than 50 metres. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
