Do You Know A Special Volunteer?
Nominations are now open for this year’s Voluntary Sector Achievement Awards.
There are many people in the local community who dedicate their time to organisations as a volunteer. Caerphilly County Borough Council work in partnership with the Gwent Association of Voluntary Organisations to host the Voluntary Sector awards ceremony which is designed to recognise local heroes.
There are award categories to suit all types of volunteers. Previous winners have been involved with organisations such as the scouts, community enterprise schemes, parent groups and much more.
The closing date for all nominations is Friday 29th July 2016 and to qualify for an award, individual and group volunteers must carry out their voluntary work within Caerphilly county borough.
The prestigious awards ceremony will see individuals and groups of volunteers formally recognised for their outstanding contribution to the community at a special ceremony in Blackwood Miners’ Institute later in the year.
Nominations forms and detailed information about award categories are available to download below or by calling GAVO Volunteering Centre on 01633 241550.
