Enforcement Officers Set To Visit Morgan Jones Park
Enforcement Officers from Caerphilly County Borough Council will be visiting Morgan Jones Park on Wednesday 18th January.
Officers from Caerphilly Council’s Enforcement Team will be joined by Community Safety Wardens from 7:30am at Morgan Jones Park on Wednesday, where a dog fouling enforcement campaign will be carried out.
The all-day event will highlight areas where dog fouling has not been cleared by owners, using flags to mark the area. The team will also be on hand to interact with members of the public regarding dog fouling issues, as well as distributing leaflets and dog fouling bags.
Cllr Nigel George, Cabinet Member for Community Safety said: “Initiatives such as this encourage residents and dog owners to think twice before discarding litter and dog faeces, as well as raising awareness of the potential environmental hazard that this poses. Members of the Enforcement Team will also be available to discuss any dog fouling issues with members of the public”.
He continued: “Caerphilly County Borough Council continues to take a very strict view of littering and dog fouling, with a maximum fixed penalty notice of £100 for littering and £75 for those caught failing to pick up after their dog”.
To report instances of dog fouling please call 01443 866566 or report it online in the dog fouling section.
