Family Fun At Cwmcarn Forest This Half Term

There’s plenty for families to enjoy at Cwmcarn Forest this February Half Term. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

On Wednesday 22nd February children can have a go at making their own apple bird feeder to take home for their garden. The sessions run 10.30am to 11.15am and 11.30am to 12.15pm and cost £2 per child. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Families can take part in a hedgehog meet and greet on Thursday 23rd February. Meet the staff from the Hedgehog Rescue Centre and learn all about these secretive little creatures and how you can help them as they wake up from their winter sleep. You will also get the opportunity to meet some of the hedgehogs in their care. Sessions run from midday and cost £2.00 per adult and £1.00 per child. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Friday 24th February sees fantastic crafts for toddlers filled with feathers and paint! Sessions start at 10.30am and cost £2 per child. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The week draws to a close with Cwmcarn Scenic Walk on Saturday 25th March 2017. Enjoy a moderate 5 mile walk taking in spectacular views of the Nantcarn Valley, a wonderful opportunity to see new views of the area which have opened up since the felling. The walk begins from the centre with a steady climb up to old car park 1 before levelling out to an undulating stroll. On return to the Centre enjoy a hot drink and a muffin, dogs welcome! The walk costs £5.50 per adult and £3.00 per child. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
