Festive Fun Throughout Caerphilly County Borough

There’s lots of festive fun on offer in the run up to Christmas throughout Caerphilly county borough! ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Cwmcarn Forest have a number of festive delights to get families into the Christmas spirit during November, kicking off with a Festive Toddler Thursday session on Thursday 24 November from 10am until 11am. Toddlers are welcome to come along for a glittery and inevitably messy session, which promises to be full of Christmas fun. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The event is suitable for children age 3+ and costs £2 per child. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Creative Festive Yule Logs at Cwmcarn Forest on Saturday 26 November using a range of craft items and natural items to make a beautiful centrepiece. Sessions take place from 11am and run throughout the day. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The event is suitable for children age 4+ and costs £4.50 per child. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Children will love the chance to make clay snowman prints at Cwmcarn Forest on Sunday 27 November using clay, paints, glitter and their own hand prints to create festive decorations. Sessions take place from 11am and run throughout the day. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The event is suitable for children age 3+ and costs £4.50 per child. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Llancaiach Fawr Manor is set to host the Menter Iaith Christmas Fair on Saturday 3 December, where visitors can enjoy the wonder of Christmas from 11am until 3pm. During the FREE event, meet Santa in his grotto and feed reindeer in the beautiful setting of Llancaiach Fawr, as well as enjoying Christmas carols performed by local primary schools. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

A variety of craft stalls and activities for children will also be on offer throughout the day, during which families can also meet Heni and other characters from S4C, listen to a brass band, enjoy a coffee or have a go on the climbing wall. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Celebrate the joy of Christmas by seeing what Caerphilly county borough’s Christmas markets have on offer, with Christmas markets on Saturday 26 December in Risca from 12pm until 5:30pm and Bargoed from 10:00am until 5pm. Families can enjoy browsing stalls, funfair rides, real reindeer, entertainment and much more! ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
