Linda Williams has moved with her partner into the very same flat that her dad previously lived in for many years. Linda said “My sister lives in Rowan Place so I’ve seen the improvement work progressing whenever I’ve visited. I’m really pleased with my new flat and started to make friends with the neighbours already. We’re really happy here and enjoying putting the finishing touches to our new home.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Caerphilly County Borough Council has undertaken extensive improvements to homes in Rowan Place, including new roofs, rendering, kitchens, bathrooms and heating systems. A programme of environmental improvements is also currently underway which will see the general appearance and layout of the area transformed. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

There are still a number of council homes available to rent in Rowan Place. Homes available to rent are a mix of ground and first floor two bedroom flats; they have all been fully refurbished and each flat has its own private garden. Rowan Place is close to local transport links, shops and amenities. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Cllr David Poole, the council’s Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Housing commented, “The investment being made into Rowan Place has seen the area transformed significantly. It’s wonderful to meet Linda, to see her new home and to hear about the difference moving here has made to her life. The transformation in Rowan Place will continue to take place over coming weeks and I urge prospective tenants to come and see the area for themselves”. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Homes in Rowan Place are currently available to families with one child, or childless couples. The council welcomes enquiries from people not currently on the housing waiting list. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
