Half Term Family Fun Across Caerphilly

Visitors to the Winding House museum in New Tredegar can discover an exciting new exhibition ‘Back in my Day – Childhood in the valleys’, which opens on Monday 20 February. The exhibition will feature a fascinating collection of objects and images celebrating what it’s like to be a child in the South Wales Valleys, with plenty of hands-on fun included! ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The Winding House is also offering families the chance to be creative, as the ever popular craft club returns. Families can have a go at making their own toy from the past, be it clay marbles, a catapult or even a whirligig! Justice will be served at Llancaiach Fawr as Colonel Prichard holds court over the rascals and petty criminals at the Manor. The sessions take place between Tuesday 21 and Friday 24 February and are included in the normal manor entry fee. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
