Lewis School Pengam Spruce Up Glan Y Nant
Pupils from Lewis School Pengam did their bit to spruce up their local environment on Friday 25 November.
They planted hundreds of daffodils in the public open at Glan y Nant space and cleared litter and debris from nearby waste ground. This work forms part of the Council’s commitment to achieving the goals set out in Welsh Government’s Wellbeing of Future Generations Act.
Cllr. Nigel George, Cabinet Member for Community & Leisure Services said: “The pupils of Lewis School Pengam should be very proud of their efforts to help make their local environment a better place. This is another example Caerphilly County Borough Council working in partnership with local schools and organisations to improve the quality of the environment in our local communities”.
