Llancaiach Fawr Hosts Free Open Doors Day
Llancaiach Fawr Manor is offering free entry to visitors as part of Cadw’s Open Doors Day scheme.
On Sunday 18 September, 10am until 4pm, guests can see the fantastic work that has been completed in the Manor and explore new, once hidden rooms.
Funded by Caerphilly Council, Cadw, the Heritage Lottery Fund and Friends of Llancaiach Fawr, the project has enabled work to be carried out to successfully recreate the 17th Century interior and provide disabled access to the upper floors for the first time.
The day is open to all ages with the opportunity to learn ‘new’ skills. Traditional craft demonstrations will be held throughout the Manor from experts in blacksmithing, quilting, lacemaking and much more.
