Lots To See At Blackwood Miners’ Institute!

There’s a lot to see at Blackwood Miners’ Institute with The Simon and Garfunkel Show and Pop Factor as well as Ballet Cymru’s Little Red Riding Hood and the Three Little Pigs promising to entertain the whole family! ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Blackwood Miners’ Institute hosts Ballet Cymru on Saturday 28th May as they perform their interpretation of stories Little Red Riding Hood and The Three Little Pigs to celebrate the centenary of famous story teller Roald Dahl. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Ballet Cymru has been granted special permission from The Dahl Foundation to produce two works based on sections of Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Starting at 7:30pm, the production contains original choreography, animated costumes and stunning sets.
Tickets cost £14 for adults and £12 for concessions, or alternatively a family ticket can be purchased for £40. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Music lovers can enjoy Pop Factor which comes to Blackwood Miners’ Insitute on Thursday 2nd June at 7:30pm. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Pop Factor celebrates the biggest popstars and current chart hits from Taylor Swift to Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry to Olly Murs – all have been included in this Number 1 pop show! The cast features top professionals performing a set list full of current smash hits, creating the perfect entertainment for children of all ages.
There is also the chance to meet the cast of the show, pose for photos and have autographs! ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Tickets cost £15 for adults, £13 for concessions and £52 for a family ticket. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Brand new for 2016, The Simon and Garfunkel Story rolls into Blackwood Miners’ Institute on Saturday 4th June for one night only at 7:30pm! ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Using huge projection photos and original film footage, this 50th anniversary celebration features a live band performing all the hits including Cecelia, Mrs Robinson and Bridge Over Troubled Water – this promises to be an evening not to be missed! ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Tickets cost £19 per adults or £18 for concessions. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
