Make sure you’re registered to vote on May 5

Caerphilly County Borough Council is encouraging residents to ensure they are registered to vote in upcoming elections.
All households in Caerphilly county borough will shortly receive a letter detailing the individuals registered to vote at each address. Residents are being urged not to ignore these letters and to ensure the details are correct. If the details are correct and all occupants are registered to vote then no action needs to be taken, however if an occupant is not included, they need to register to ensure they are able to vote in upcoming elections.
On May 5 Wales will head to the polls to vote in Welsh Assembly and Police & Crime Commissioner Elections. As well as not being able to vote in upcoming elections and referendums, individuals who are not on the electoral register may also be refused credit.
The deadline to register to vote is Monday 18 April 2016 and the process takes less than 5 minutes to complete online.
